Archos 101 – installing the Android Market

Like many of you, I was excited to see an ‘affordable’ Android tablet!  The Archos 101 Android tablet!  But, as cool as it was, I knew it would be even better with the Android Market installed.   IMHO, this is the easiest to follow instructions to ‘root’ the Archos and install the market.  Before you start, you will have to reset back to the factory defaults. This is done by first powering off the Archos.  Then press and hold the power button while holding the ‘up’ volume button.  You will then be giving a menu to do the factory reset.  Follow the instructions in this link:  updating Archos 101 with the Android Market

The first thing I did, after installing, was download the Flash 10 player and both the  Kindle and Nook readers.  So Happy!
